"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Interesting point... If we make the play-offs and widnes fail to make their play-offs, we could select players such as Kevin Brown, Hep Cahill, Ben Cross, Shaun Briscoe, Steve Pickersgill to feauture in our squad because they will all be available to us on DR.
Only if they have played enough matches for us and we can fit them in our notional salary cap

Sorry, to disillusion you kieran but to be able to play for us in the play-offs any dual registered player would have to have played in a certain percentage of league games (can't remember if it's 50% or 75%) so none of them would be available for us.

Being a Keighley supporter who is not bitter,I just don't want this to happen to our league.Surely you can see the many flaws in this agreement and I feel it is just a slippery road to disaster .If we (Keighley) did as you and many other clubs have done then I would walk away from the game I love.
You going to the keighley tigers game tomorrow Marra ????π

Self preservation or principle ???? Tough one ...
He might as well keep watching his team David. Because he isn't going to get any decent players from that dump. They would of been better linking up with usπππ

Not sure if you can once they are linked up with another club. Now the cougars have linked up with CAS a young cas fullback who was on a season long loan with another championship club has had the loan terminated with one weeks noticed and sanction by the RFL and once that week is up he will got to cougars
Another ridiculous situation as a result of the RFL's ineptitude. How can clubs plan when this is going on
