would it? Really? ??either prince harry or william would be good. Would also be good to get them to afew games.Would create loads of interest and may make the sport more appealing to a younger generation.
Genuine question. I'm trying to set my obvious republicanism aside for just a mo to try and see why either of em would attract young uns to a game of rugby league.
Personally I'd like to see someone from within league's great history but realise this too is a bit insular!

Regardless of your views on the monarchy, this is her job and she's the head of state of all three countries that have a chance of reaching the final.
If the roundball world cup or the Union version was in this country, she would be doing it and there wouldn't even be a debate on the subject.

I don't think I can reply without my feelings on the monarchy influencing my reply. It has to be The Queen

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try
Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen
The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

To be fair Robin, I'm at the other end of the republican/monarchist spectrum from you, so that probably influences my post too.
It'd be a pretty boring place if we all thought the same!!
