Formed in the mid-seventies, the "1895 Club" gave supporters a collective voice in campaigning for rugby league. From challenging the negative media, playing rugby league in the Armed Forces, colleges and universities as well the running of the sport, it really did make its mark. There was also a vibrant social scene including organised trips to matches. For a brief moment, another "1895 Club" sprung up though in a different guise. Along the way, other groups of supporters put in their effort.

Now what of today? You don't seem to hear much going on and I was wondering if the internet is now the new platform for supporters to put their views forward?
