This may come to nothing but ... the organisation I work for will be hosting a day about gastrointestinal conditions later in the year (Crohn's, IBS, coeliac, that sort of thing) and we may be having speeches from sporty type people who have one of these conditions but who still plays sport at an elite level. We know a rugby union player, a swimmer and a handballer (can you tell I'm in charge of getting names?) who might be willing to talk but TGG is so far not on the radar.
Does anybody in the good world of TRL know of any high-profile TGGer who might fit our bill and, crucially, might be willing to talk about it to an audience of about 150 people?

Richard Horne has diabetes.
If you recall him coming on as substitute in the 2008 RL Cup Final, before he'd been diagnosed, looking like a skeleton and getting smashed by James Graham, then giving everyone the "thumbs up" whilst he was laid on the ground, he might be the perfect subject. It was a memorable and, for me, iconic moment in a rugby league game.
It would bring the complete dedication of a RL player into perspective in what is one of the hardest and most physically demanding sports in the World.

I was going to say Richard Horne but wasn't sure if it was Crohn's or Diabetes he has.......agreed about that moment though, hadn't he just returned from a neck injury too?......is he playing again this season?
