Only slow start to this season has been from the referees...
Other than that, I'm loving this.

Have Saints done enough to make Hull look good?
Not sure about that, but the margin of victory should be sufficient to keep Hull's dream of being in a play-off position come the end of the weekend alive.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

It's silly to get upset after the first game but it's hard not to be gutted after that.
Congratulations to Ant, Steve May and the other Giants posters on here, that's some sweet revenge after all the frustration that Nathan Brown caused you last season

Nice surprise to start the season - Giants excellent, Saints awful. Doesn't prove anything yet though, as for the last two years the Minor Premiers have lost to Hudds in the first game.

Well, I did say earlier in this thread that I wasn't sure we would win it because our players still have the same skillset.
It turns out I was right. Meli still has the ability to be utter sh*** in defence, our forwards still have the skill of missing tackles, running sideways and standing around doing sweet FA, or better still having a fight while the opposition is on their way to the tryline.
Embarrassed as a Saints fan but not surprised. And to think, we sacked Royce Simmons for a few losses when not one of them was by more than two tries and we always managed to score a couple ourselves. I'm amazed we managed to find the tryline tonight as we had no idea where we were for the whole match.

Post 164 on here is well worthy of being brought to people's attention.
On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....
"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

Are Saints following Leeds and not actually playing until September?
Leeds Rhinos,STILL the only Grand Final winning club NOT to have cheated the salary cap.WCC Champions 2012.
