Hard one to call, this one. It could go either way. Bradford seemed to put up a good job against Leeds but I don't know how many young players were playing on either side and anyway, Leeds are generally poor for most of the year so that probably isn't a good marker. Should be a good game between what appear to be two fairly even sides.

Has the world gone mad??? All these people backing the Bulls. Surely the boggy conditions won't give Bradford that much of an advantage.
It's not exactly tipping a giant killing though is it? Most people have said it's two very similar sides, which I'd have to agree with. The bookies have Bradford as favourites by 10, so fill your boots!

Despite the forecast there hasn't been anything like the amount of rain we could have had over the last couple of days. Odsal drains pretty well anyway, so provided we don't get a month's worth of rain in the next few days the Bulls' cause should be helped a fast and reasonably dry track. Soz, can't see much consolation for you....Has the world gone mad??? All these people backing the Bulls. Surely the boggy conditions won't give Bradford that much of an advantage.

Skilful teams like a dry track so I'm obviously hoping it dries up a bit, so we have some advantage. How's your prayers going.....?

Hard to judge this match bradford will be out to impress but we're not a bad side, a lot will depend if Tim Smith is fit. Come on Wakefield

I'm really sceptical, all the right noises have been coming out of Odsal, but I've been let down before by the Bulls!

"I don't see what all the fuss is about. I mean, it's only fair after last year isn't it? Look Neil, just for you, I've put my best Rovers' tie on today in the hope it'll go some way to make up for it. Oh, by the way, Jon sends his regards."

Difference today was that Wakefield looked like they thought the season starts in a fortnight's time and Bradford looked like they have been waiting for this for months. Some great play from us - first try worth the price of admission alone. Not the finished article and I'm not getting carried away, but it's pleasing to see the best opening day from us in about a decade.
Also the team spirit from the players who were at Odsal last year was immense again. Will see us through a few tough spots again this year I hope.
