I look around
I search the skies
I shade my eyes
So nearly blind
And I see signs of half remembered days
I hear bells that chime in strange familiar ways
I recognise...
The hope you kindle in your eyes

Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

All that fuss about not having a suitable camera... that's a cracking bit of imagination for the theme.

All photos must be taken between February 1st 2013 and February 28th 2013 and posted on this thread between these dates.

Mmm. Going to have to get myself organised. I'm going away for a few days next week, and won't be home until 1st March, so won't get the opportunity to enter anything I take whilst away unless I can work some way of uploading it. <_< Time to get the thinking hat on.

gazza, should you not be posting a lot of this stuff on the general photography thread and then deciding what to throw into the comp.

As the person who trawls through this lot to find each persons correct photo it can tend to make it hard work.

I love your enthusiasm by the way and its not meant as a criticism of you personally or of your photography.

That's fine. As a relative newcomer to the photo comps, I've been working on the basis that if something meets the criteria and I want to post it on this site, that the comp thread is the place to do it for analyis before deciding upon the final entry. I appreciate the job you're doing is a good one, and time consuming, so if it's the done thing to be a little more selective in entering the comp and post most things into the general photo thread is the way to go, then I'm happy to oblige. :)

As an aside, I've been having a chat in the local tonight with the guy who runs our local photography group, which is a fairly informal and broad skillset collective. I'm intending joining them, and they apparently have a monthly theme too, so maybe you'll end up with a few less from me as I'll have two different trains of thought on the go at once. ;) :D

Would it not be helpful to you if we just had one post each and it was down to us to edit it so it had the picture in we wanted to enter?

If the photography thread is to cumbersome to follow, perhaps there could be two threads for the monthly comp, one a discussions thread on potentials and the other just a submission thread then at least you have less leg work to do!

On Friday 28th March I'm taking part in the Wigan Streetsleep, raising money for The Brick charity who try to ensure nobody in Wigan finding themselves homeless spends a 2nd night on the streets and providing help and support via a foodbank.  Every penny counts so if you can spare anything at all its much appreciated - this link will take you to my sponsorship page thanks.

I think that's a good point. It's up to the photogtaphers to edit their pictures before submitting tem, especially ince we have an excellent general photography thread

Ah,the penguins,I wonder how Wiggo is doing. All the penguins born last year were named after British Olympians.Wiggo snatched fish out of my sons hand when he was feeding them.

Even men with steel hearts love to see a dog on the pitch.
