Castleford Tigers Head Coach Ian Millward has confirmed that Kirk Dixon will miss the first six weeks of Super League after suffering a calf tear in training last week.
Millward said, “Dixon was out for seven months after undergoing neck surgery as well as having six months out with a shoulder injury the year before, so I really feel for him. He is our best goal kicker so there is no doubt it is a blow for us."
The Tigers are, however, delighted to confirm that Keith Mason and Jordan Tansey are available for selection for the squad’s first test against Warrington Wolves this Sunday after missing the pre-season friendlies.
He added. “Keith will be in our 19 but we will have to make a decision on Jordan later in the week.”
Tickets are now available for the Tigers Super League fixture at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday 3rd February, kick off 3pm.
Tickets can be purchased at www.castigers.com
Alternatively tickets and bus travel can be purchased by visiting the club shop in Carlton Lanes or by calling 01977 555336. To purchase seating tickets or arrange disabled parking, fans should contact Warrington Wolves direct on 08448 111176 or 01925 248880 respectively.
