the lad dun gud!! He was on top form.
Overall, the start of season seems to have had more media exposure than ever. Someone somewhere is doing a good job...but clearly not the RFL as they are according to some, a farce, a disgrace, a shambles.

one way opr another probably.
Noble is an in house BBC rugby League pundit, so that could well be the connection. How did he get to be in that position originally? Highly likely the RFL media department.
In any case the RFL get slagged off willy nilly whether it's justifiable or not by a section of the 'rugby league community', so sauce for the goose and all that.

Really enjoying it actually, not what I was expecting at all but Noble is holding his own. I'd recommend it, it's like a good chat in the pub, full of giggles.

I've been listening to Fighting Talk for a fair few years. RL doesn't get mentioned often - if it does it's usually Martin Kelner who is a semi-regular (he onced answered the question "Most Shocking Transfer in Sport" with the bloke who did Ronnie the Rhino going over to be Bullboy!).
Wouldn't be surprised if it was Kelner who reccomended Nobby for FT rather than the RFL, especially after Nobby's quite passsionate performance on the recent Forty 20 podcast (which itself takes a lot of cues from Fighting Talk)

Twelve months ago, an oval ball special would have been two sports.

Does anybody have a recording of the half time pillow fight at Halifax that Brian Noble mentioned?

I'd love to have seen that. Noble's description was superb!

Agreed, he just seems so comfortable to chat to anyone about anything. A few clichés of the eloquent kind but great entertainment. I winced when his most despised song was "we will rock you" haha good ol' Bradford.Really enjoy listening to Noble on whatever show he appears.

Brian was in excellent form. Nice to see RL getting a positive mention on the show, for a change.

"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes

I missed it on Saturday but I normally listen to the start and if Martin Kellner isn't on I switch off.
But why is he a West Ham fan when he comes from Prestwich, works in Leeds and supports Swinton?
