Spoke to the office a few days ago and it sounds like they are still waiting on some sponsors so as per it looks like we'll be the last team to get their shirt out once again.

So what do people think.

Any one think we will get hoops again or just another confusing mess.

Doesnt matter what it looks like. But the fact it is not ready with the season about to start is shoddy.

I get your point about it being trivial but i do disagree abit, nice shirts sell which would help the club.

The more shirts sold means a bigger presence in the public eye and more awareness.

Wearing my shirt at the superleague grand final and magic weekend was something of a rare sighting for many other rl fans it seemed.

Be nice if they were more common place in the public eye.

Since when are they Oldham colours? Have we borrowed a kit from St Annes?

At least it did look like a Rugby shirt, since when have Black and orange or Black and pink been Oldham colours? I still prefer the red and white hoops and didn't we have Blue and white hoops for away kit?

Tosh,you`re right,I`m sure.Plus,it DID look like a rugby jersey :my son said it reminded him of an Australian style shirt but,on reflection,the comment about St Anne`s is a good one.Regardless it was a surprise!Bring back the red and white hoops.

If memory serves me correctly, the blue and white hoops were worn by Oldham when we were the home side and there was a colour clash.
Didn't happen very often though.
Only Wigan immediately comes to mind.
Different in football where the away team had to change.
Bring back the hoops !

In RL it always used to be the home team that changed colours when there was a clash. I remember Oldham playing in not only Blue & White hoops at home but also White shirts with a Blue V.

The Blue & White hoops were the A team strip.

Both 1st and A team would alternate if there was a colour clash when playing at home.

All clubs kept the same shirts for years until they started to change to accomadate sponsors.

They occassionaly used all white shirts and can remember Oldham playing in white against St Helens away in the days of Vollenoven and Killeen.

The new strip looks more like a rugby shirt but why green.

As a teenager I thought Oldham looked so "cool" in plain white shirts

I will always remember Len McIntyre dropping his goal whilst wearing one.

Again thought CH said in 1997 going back heritage oldham are red & white hoops and name being roughyheds

Like to know how many shirts we have had since 97 and how many are red & white hoops
