Snow on the ground and very cold in Hudds today and that's my biggest worry.
FWIW Hudds weren't as good as they could have been last week, lot of errors and a lot of help from Saints.
LoD might not be going to Sydney but by all accounts that was an old story leaked after the fact so it's done and dusted plus we may well see Ta'Ai in the side this week anyway

It won't be an easy day for handling Ant.
There's work to be done on stopping opposition players offloading in the tackle.
With regard to LOD I wouldn't be surprised if he left, given his injury record and no doubt big salary, if PA has other players in mind to bring in; not necessarily a second rower either.

We were looking hard for a 6 pre season , if the Roosters had been prepared to send us a good 6 I'm sure the deal would be done

34-6 Huddersfield, btw.

A dour game in old fashioned weather
Giants defence pretty much smothered the Broncos and out attack didnt get out of second gear really
The Ref was utterly rubbish. Inconsistent from start to finish

So much for positive posts...
A very Powellesque Broncos performance - in the game and only two scores behind until the last 20 minutes then Collapso
And a quite damning statement from one who was there.
Simply put you can debate Broncos attendances, future location, marketing etc until the cows come home.. and on here some do - but until the product on the pitch is worth watching the club faces a bleak future.
The next home game against Wakefield is now not a normal league encounter but an absolute must win for the future of the club because if things don't aim up on the field this season then there is every chance there will not be a next season.

Sam Tomkins - Rugby League Week 14.03.12I was sat on the Underground train, and there was a girl looking at me. She was pretty good looking, too, I thought, "something's wrong here - girls as hot as that don't take an interest in me".
Then she came over and said - in a really strong Cockney acent - "excuse me, are you Sam Tomkins?".
She asked me for my autograph, and I was made up...until she asked me to make it out to her boyfriend. I was gutted, I thought she wanted my number
Benji Marshall discovering about Sydney "fan" loyality (Benji - page 245)After we were well beaten by South Sydney at the Sydney Cricket Ground in 2010, a coupl;e of kids maybe eight or nine years old took their Wests Tigers jerseys off as I was walking off the field and threw them at me. "What's this" I said "You can have the jersey" one of them said "we don't go for West Tigers anymore". Then they ran back to their parents who were laughing. That was difficult to take, having kids who look up to you do that. I just dropped the jerseys on the ground and kept walking. It's not like we go out and lose by 50 points on purpose

The Bronco's only score was quite annoying really, like the Giants hadnt been used to defending all game (and hadnt had to). After that our defence shut up shop and none of the Bronco's could make a dent in the brick wall

I thought London competed better than any of their previous games at the McAlpine/Galpharm/JohnSmithsStadium and the final score flattered the Gaints a tad.
The Giants wore London down eventually but it was nowhere near some of the blowouts of the past.

Sadly Ant, 2012/13 seems to indicate that this is modern weather.

A dreadful game played out between a team that really didn't need to to get out of second gear and a team that didn't appear to have a second gear.
Zero intensity, zero atmosphere, zero point. Little more than a box ticking exercise. As a match it was a great example of all that's wrong about SL.
Huddersfield will need to step up a lot to come close to Wigan.
London - well, they might beat St Helens...

If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.

Totally agree Steve
Come the weekend it will need to be a different Giants team performance
Fortunately I am confident we will see just that.

It looks like the game will be played on Saturday now, following HTFC's win tonight.

I had a feeling this would happen.
I can't go because of work this Saturday.
