as I said, sincerely-held views. Maybe run a poll? In my sincerely-held opinion, this hard core of naysayers are driving people away from here.. Though clearly I can't actually (and would not presume to do so, either) speak for them, It seems to me people like Padge, Riversiderontour etc who used to post regularly, no longer respond to the miseryguts posts.

Over 20,000 people paid to watch Wigan and Warrington last night. probably 200,000 or more watched on Sky and no doubt thousands more listened on the radio/internet. They can't all hate SuperLeague/RFL. Woods/Rimmer/Hetherington/Stobart/licencing/P & R/playoffs/club call/Sky/Eddie/Stevo/NFL/10 metres/uncontested scums/ etc etc.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn! I don't think the anti-aussie thing is that bad, more like banter although the "can't stand the nrl" brigade perplex me. Tbh I think people leave any forum for a whole set of reasons, turnover is natural.

I merely remark that there are those on here who can be relied upon no matter what, to denigrate everything and anything that the RFL and SuperLeague do or say. In addition, personal attacks on the physique and capabilities of Nigel Woods are regularly made. Those people should remember that Woods can always go on a diet whilst those who make such comments will always be fat-heads

So, for the sake of clarity, I will repeat: I am not trying to stop these naysayers from expressing themselves, just pointing out that when they do in the way they do, they should expect a response.

As mentioned also, I have made it more or less my life's work to criticise the whole sports (and the BBC's) appalling pathetic PR capability so to those who deliberatly mis-representy my views, ###### off

I don't post on this forum anywhere near as much as I used to because of the arrogant responses and putdowns from people such as Padge, and a few others. In their opinion (oh the irony) other posters aren't allowed to disagree with anything they believe to be ideal in this fantasy RL world they live in. If posters dare to disagree they are ridiculed as not knowing anything about the game. They may want to take a look at how Dave T responds to those he disagrees with. He may not agree with you but he does usually answer with tact and diplomacy.

i think if people want to convince others then engaging is always more effective then putting people down but "not allowed"?! Jeez talk about melodrama. Only the mods determine what is allowed and they have a pretty light touch. Somebody annoys put them on ignore simple as that

thats fine but you're slightly miss my point. No one no matter how robustly they disagree with you is stopping you posting or making your point. They might putt you off, turn you off or pee you off but they are not stopping you doing anything

Putting this thread back on topic,

I think too many teams are are involved with the playoffs,
only 6 Cc. teams will not be involved in the playoffs and 2 of those will be relegated,
In theory(although it would take a herculean effort which would belay their regular seasons form) a team from the bottom half of each division could become champions!
Still, it allows us to watch more matches I suppose! although the Cc teams already face a significantly longer season this year than last.

thats the daft thing, the champ is prob the right size and with the northern rail cup there is just no need for such a large play off format. I still believe reduce the superleague to 12, bring back p and r, new and ambitious teams can go from champ 1. Jobs a good un! I genuinely believe the champ has so much potential, we need a bit more risk taking with that. I still can see why the rfl want to play safe but for me it's a mistake
