The idea was to give 20 odd players a run out, from a squad of about 45 that are regualarly training 3 time a week.
Easts had 5 or 6 subs so they obviously had the same idea after their run out against West Hull last week.
Milford have attracted some new experienced players but they have also got some of their old players back from injury and others that have kept fit playing for teams in the pennine league.

It's pre season results don't matter it's about finding your final squad for the up coming season and although lost 5 quality players we have gained 5 top promising players from our very successful under 18s teamThey have all signed with Rochdale along with Warren Thompson who turned out for the winter team in the North West Counties. Anthony Bate has signed with Leigh.
I was working again at the weekend so can't pass comment on how we went. Obviously losing players of that quality is going to have an impact but that will provide opportunities to others, there is enough quality players at the club to step up and perform at NCL level.

Shaw Cross Sharks 20-14 York Acorn.
Cracking game. Both teams put a few young lads in, but it was played tough and quick from start to finish. A good hit out for both sides.
