Last season this was 2nd v 1st played on 18th May, and a very comfortable win (7 tries to 2, 32-12) for Wigan saw the start of Hudds' annual decline. As it's only the 3rd game in this time I reckon this one could go either way, the bookies go Wigan by 4.

What effect will the loss of O'Donnell have on the Huddersfield squad?

My guess would be an Aussie half-back no-one's ever heard of.

Wigan by at least 12 - Huddersfield look a useful side so far this season, but they just haven't got Wigan's class.

Given the limited number of games LOD played for the Giants owing to injury, I think the main impact is a big wodge off the wage bill;this may be a temporary reduction if a signing is made but it is unlikely to be somebody who would command a wage akin to Luke's.

You could argue that the Giants need players with his type of experience if they are ever going to win a pot though, although it only applies as an argument if they are fit to play.

The Giants need cover at half back, so you may be right.

If you cough up enough money then perhaps. But do it properly this time though won't you?! :P

The Giants always do it properly.

A mate of mine who's not one for blowing smoke has got wind that Gale wants to come to the Giants. :D ;)

Brough and Robinson are a fantastically balanced half back pairing to me so signing another seems lower priority than Anderson seems to think.

O Donnell was super tough and will be a loss for sure.

I think Hudds are the closest team to breaking into the top four this year but are still a couple of players off being real contenders.

Whoever turns up with the right attitude will win this game. I go for Wigan by less than 6.

I agree. The giants look strong and well balanced. Be a great one for Wigan to win.

Josh at full back, Gelling on the wing. Rather than Richards... Not the formation you would perhaps expect.
