Hasn't this happened before? Was it last year?

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

Next weeks game is at Barrow and they have problems with their lights as they aren't up to the required standard. Just hope they work next week or Cumbria's name will be mud!!!!

Happened last time they had a floodlit game in the cup against a french side. It will continue to happen until someone pays to updgrade the supply. Too much load at this time of year I'm afraid. <_<

They could always nip down to Derwent Park to play it. I hear they have a pitch that drains perfectly and a cracking set of floodlights.....
