Really looking positive for Fev judging by the first two home gates. I know its early but just under 3000 for Leigh followed by 2400 v Barrow who didn't bring more than 50ish appears to be significant progress on top of a 38% rise last season. Hopefully we'll smash the 2500 requirement this season.
Some great work going on down at the Big Fellas.

There has been far more of a buzz aaround the ground on match days this season. Probably down to a variety of reasons, but it's good that it's happening.

im assuming they are fake as there is nothing to play for in the championship as we've been told many times! more seriously have fev been pushing any particular promotions etc or just a feel good factor?

Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

Fev are doing astonishingly well with their crowds. When you look around the championships and see the struggles that a lot of great names are unfortunately having and the poor gates they are attracting, it's amazing work.

A few years ago there seemed to be a sort of domino surge in Super League which saw average gates seemingly rise across the board. Perhaps the surge at Fev could be the start of something similar elsewhere?
Fev deserve a huge amount of credit for what they've done in the past few years.
Cheer up, RL is actually rather good

How does the stadium look now - has the building work been completed yet?

Featherstone are clearly going into other Championship club areas and hoovering up their supporters with cheap tickets and foam fingers.Fev are doing astonishingly well with their crowds. Boo. Boo them to heck.

foam fingers.
I noticed when watching the Hudds-Wigan highlights that there was a 'during-match' rendition of We Will Rock You played over the speakers. I thought of you.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

Only demolition and groundworks done so far, along with some prep of the steelworks in readiness for (re)construction. It actually probably helps in a way, as with only 3 sides to the ground, the fans are that bit more congregated.

Progress held up by the incessant wet weather over the past couple of months. Frustrating for Paul Coventry and his fantastic team.Only demolition and groundworks done so far, along with some prep of the steelworks in readiness for (re)construction.

Yes, it'd take more than one club to do that I'd guess. Cas, Salford and Widnes have also 'led the way' in crowd terms in Championship rugby without ever really being an integral part of the champiosnhip scene as it were. Perhaps Leigh, Fve and Fax all on a roll with crowds up would give a boost to the rest, a mini Cumbra revival, better gates in Soth Yorkshire and it'd start to take shape. Easy to say.

Seeing loads of new faces in the family stands, loads of kids too. All good for the future.

Differing stories, some say the same, which would be no use, other sources say 10,000, which given what is being built, seems more believeable

How knows*? Difficult to say as H&S will need to recalculate the standing numbers on the remaining terraced areas (mainly at the other end of the ground) but a wild guess would be about 8k. Before work started I think it was 6850.
* Im answering this as a genuine question although there is an incredibly long running Mornington-Cresent style thread on Rovers facebook pages about this very question..........
