Just watching Sky Sports and the F1 advert came on using the old SL theme. Had a quick flick through YouTube to see if it was in there and they had all the old SL title videos. Brought back some memories!

So thought if post the question, which one was best?! You decide! Here's the links to the videos:

Two Tribes, loved it. Putting them on a pedestal, not too fond of the fluffy animated animals though for Bulls, Rhinos, Tigers, etc. But other than that, yep, bob on. Also, nostalgia puts the first one in second place. And I still like the "seize the day" music they play after a try.

The current was ok as a one off, I like an Iron Man concept, but Biffy Clyro are bab.

The Carpe Diem tune used to be used in the intros before SL apparently (before my time of watching the game really, I much preferred Sonic the Hedgehog!).

I like the Two Tribes one best, although ironically the highly camp, pre SL one featuring Martin Offiah looks like it should be a Frankie Goes To Hollywood video.

Carpe Diem was and still is lamentable!

I love Carpe Diem too. Reminds me of some of my earliest memories watching my uncle play for Donny in the Big League in 94/95.

My favourite was the stones bitter intro, as it brings back great memories of being kid and just getting into rugby league in a big way after being a mad football fan. But seen as that was pre-super league my favourite super league intro was the first 1996-1998 seasons, Also bring back carpe diem pure class and should never have been dropped as the intro music, keep changing the graphics over the years by all means but keep carpe diem.

not too sure which i prefer, but of you watch the start of the current titles you can sill see the engage logo prominent on the ball being used..

Yup, I noticed that last year. I mean, it's only been 2 seasons since they stopped sponsoring the league!
The fact that it's also a Steeden ball makes it completely out of date!

Can't believe people liked Carpe Diem; it was like a Scooter B side or something you'd expect to hear in a seedy club on the rieperbahn. Each to their own!

Don't like the current titles, mind, as we need to be creating stars/personalities within the game, so having a group of faceless robots doesn't really fit the bill.

I'd love to see us rip off the idea used on match of the day and the NRL whereby we 'mash up' footage from past eras with the stars of today to make it look like one cohesive try scoring move. Celebrate our history whilst also bigging up the stars of today.

Quite interesting to see all those titles together, and all but one or two follow the same creative concept, that of RL players being superhuman/supermen etc.. even the rugby league of the extraordinary campaign followed the same concept, though with a more modern slant.

Love that Carpe Diem track, it's the one I think of when I think of rugby on Sky.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:

Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.

It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.

Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.
