Why do try still play the Carpe Diem track when showing a replay? It has nagged me for years and seeing as though it has been brought up here, didnt think it deserved a thread of its own! You don't hear music after goals in the football or Tries (what tries??) in Union? I can only assume Sky got into a contract with the producer in the early 90's to guarantee it some airplay for the next 30 years!

Two tribes is the best one for me. And I love the music they play when showing the replays after a try

Theyve started using the 1999-2002 one for F1 adverts.

The best Intro EVER was at Belle Vue Wakefield when they used to play March Of the Gladiators as the players came onto the pitch ....... It was brill :D

I remember hearing that at Central Park. In my mind that music is linked much more to circus clowns than rugby league.

Featherstone used to come out to the Post Horn Gallop

That's a bit harsh, Wigan had a few decent sides when they played there.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

(You missed a treat yesterday on Simon Mayo's radio show, one of the first songs they played was Wooly Bully)

If you use "should of", "would of" or "could of", you are a moron.

Reminds me of another old joke about Donnie (the butt of every RL gag in those days) having this as their entrance tune:

Great stuff, followed by 'Heyyyyyyy baby' and Cotton-eyed Joe?

Sadly not. Without taking this thread off topic too much, on RLFans a Bradford insider insists he/she (he) has destroyed every copy of the Rednex classic and it won't ever be played again. Sad times.

I see you decided to not read the very first sentence of my original post on this thread then!

Just to be clear, Two Tribes was used by Channel 4's NFL coverage in the 1980s when it was incredibly popular, and is now the theme to their current coverage. Because of that it always felt like an imitation using it for Super League.

Because of that the current theme is second only to Carpe Diem, though I prefer how it used to be used on try replays to the Big League themes or replays now. The "seize the day" bits do not work in the theme at all.

And the robots are better than any of the former visuals, with the gladiators second.

The Two Tribes one I think is the most fitting, but I voted for the Are You Ready one because that's when I first got into rugby properly. Just takes me back! Wasn't there an intro where they were pulling chains in 2002?

Wouldn't mind one year if they pulled away from the "supermen" theme and went with a more fan-based intro like they do in football. Show the fans enjoying coming to the game, the stadia, the colour, etc. Tom Hark in the background would be good! Ha.

How epic did the 90's Sky Intro (before the programme actually comes on) used to be?! I wish I was a kid again
