It will be a major mess if it's not ready for the World Cup fixture.

I've no problem with the cladding being sky blue - Haven't the NHS given KR money in the past

Maybe it could be called the NHS stand :o ;)

Guys lets get real here its all down to money and Hull KR dont have much of that:( The best way forward is for a joint stadium sharing venture in Hull and not relying on council or EU funding.

So just who will be footing the bill for this joint venture stadium?

Sure, they could make one of those parks like they have around the KC stadium and fill it with all the money trees they have...

Why is council or EU funding a bad thing? The council invested cash from the sale of shares in Kingston Communications into the stadium for the good of the city and it was the best thing they ever did. Hull KR had the opportunity to be part of the KC, but turned it down.

Apart from the fact that any new stadium in Hull is not needed and would be commercially unviable, why would FC want to move? Hull FC have the best stadium in Super League and a water-tight tenancy agreement. As much as the Hull Daily mail like to whip up a storm over the Allams, it really is all hot air.

Mismanagement is something KR do well, even in-house, and it would take a blind KR fan to not acknowledge this. Perhaps there is a bit of scapegoating going on here? The club have known for weeks that the earliest the stand will be open is in time for the World Cup.

When was this? At the time the KC was both dreamed up and constructed, Rovers were a struggling second tier outfit and very much the 3rd biggest pro sport gig in town. Hudgell does have a point that FC have benefited from council funding far above and beyond his own club, who have had to pay over the odds to develop a modest stadium. I'd love for us just to have sat in the wings and then moved into a state-of-the-art complex at a piddling rent off the back of our soccerball team. This didn't happen and most of us don't whinge about it but a bit of perspective is needed here. Hull KR have had a raw deal in the recent stadium stakes.

Personally I think the new stand looks quite impressive and the blue colour is only a problem in so much as it's not what was outlined. I hadn't noticed and think it looks canny good but yeah, do what you said you would. I'm very frustrated (as are most Rovers fans) that it still isn't ready yet, for sure. Fair play to Hudgell.
