Been reading the NCL reports in this week's League Express and noticed afew of the try scorers appear to have swapped teams over the close season
Leigh Reintoul – Acorn to Heworth
Gaz English – Siddal to Ovenden
Groves – Leigh East to Miners
Ade Mulcahy – Eastmoor to Normanton
Is there anyone out there who knows why these players have left the teams they were at last year? Any other pre-season transfers happened?

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.<div align='center'></div>

Andy Tillett
Jamie Chappell
Kieran Woods
Paul Steel
Chris Hope
All of the above have left Castleford Panthers and followed player coach Jamie Benn to Oulton Raiders where Jamie is now 1st team coach.

Why wouldnt they be happy ?? More players equals more competition equals getting the best out of the players you have!! Win Win for Oulton if you ask me.

Bet the Oulton players are happy
I know this happens a lot with regional clubs but was not aware it happened on such a scale at NCL level
Allways been the same within Hull sides

Unsure of this we had 65 players signed on last year - fulfilled every 1st & A team fixture with 17 every week bar 1 A Team game where we had 15 men?
Numbers good again - training numbers 50% up on last year - hoping for a better season than last.

Thats good to hear Les, last seasons summer season blimp may now be over. Have you still got players at Methley or have they all come back.
Bragging right this season in Leeds should be very interesting with some great local derby games.

There are still a couple @ Methley but i understand they are going to Normanton Knights along with a number of the Methley team this season.
Yes agree, the Leeds teams as I imagine with Hull sides has its own ''mini league '' within the division. Ourselves, Milford & Easts all started with 2 wins, Warriors 1 win and a close defeat to St Judes whop have started really well. Fingers crossed for some bumper crowds.
On seperate note, I was very impressed with Waterhead Saturday - i think they will take some beating at home

Yes they are, saw them against Milford. You are right in saying it will be tough at their place especially on the narrow pitch they have.
