After the opening weekend of the 2013 season, the game of the round in the NRC is surely at Whitebank between Oldham and local and historic rivals Rochdale.
Oldham will be looking to turn around the abhorrent performance against the Crusaders and hopefully having correctly the defensively issues from Sunday's game the team will be looking for three points to kick start their season.
Rochdale on the other hand had a strong opening game against Gateshead and they will be seeking to continue that form in the derby clash at Whitebank.
If Oldham can shore up the defence then it will be a close game on the narrow Whitebank pitch.
Prediction
Very close game!

We've beaten them once at their place and can do it again but only if our team spirit and our defense is right as it was in the pre-season games .
On the evidence of Sundays performance we will not get this with young inexperienced DR players drafted in at a moments notice . If we are to take players from Salford it has to be on season long loans like Adam Files so that they can fight for their place in the team , develop a commitment to Oldham's cause and be prepared to put their bodies on the line for their team mates .
Until that happens lets stick with what we've got ... at least we know we will not be lacking in spirit and enthusiasm then .
So I will reserve judgement until I see what team is being put out before I make any predictions about Sunday.

Last weekend was last weekend, so looking forward to the derby clash with Rochdale, it will be a close game, it will be another bench mark to the development of the team. No DR players in the Oldham side not sure about the Rochdale side. Lets hope for a four figure crowd ?
Come on Oldham!

Right side defence has got to be bombproof, we were wide open several times during the law cup, the nets will have taken note. winning the toss would also be advantageous!
