The SBW voice over was a mistake.
The idea was flawed and the fact he sounded a bit slow going did not help.

Parra beating NZW 18-4 so far. Good game but I'm knackered and have to get some sleep.

Parra win 40-10 with Hayne getting three tries.
That is a bit of a wipeout for the Warriors.

Thats better. Not the best start by either team though. 3 sets, 2 tries, 1 kick out on the full. Nice work down the right though and we got a lucky bounce. Doggies 6-4

HT

CBY 12 -18 NQL

Poor quality game so far. Too many errors, too many penalties. For the Dogs Keating and Halatau have been awful. No Organisation by Keating and he's killing more ops than he makes. Dessie needs to get into them at HT. I hope this is Keatings last game this year too. Hodkinson should have the jersey.

Don't they call it 'second season syndrome'? Although on tonights performance, it could stretch into the third season as well. Although to be fair, very few of the Brisbane side covered themselves in glory today, particularly that second half. Your comment about getting picked up by a SL club is a bit unfair, and he might not want to leave Australia anyway.

Wasn't at all meant as a dig at the lad.

Its the first real game of the Season, it will take time to settle and knock the rust off, the real contenders will emerge in a months time.

What's happened to the warriors? They've gone from being one of the hot favourites 2 seasons ago to making up the numbers, too many youngsters in the team or their big names not performing?

They need a decent Coach, they have the player roster.

Sam and George Burgess seemed to go ok and even to the commentators appeared "HUUUGE"
Maybe the Aussies need to take a leaf out of Big Sams approach to injuries and building his body?

I am not the NRL players keeper or conscience.
If it makes you happy that the biggest Competition in this code may have issues, so be it.
I am not sure how deep it goes or what is involved, I am not loosing any sleep about it, life goes on.
How good would that be, the NRL get floored by a drug scandal and SL disappears up its own rectum through fan apathy, no creditable sponsors or money and a general lack of interest.
Be a bit like Squash then wouldn't it.
