Wonder how long it will be before we witness the first dive trying to get someone sent off!
The game is being over sanitised in several aspects and is a dodgy root to take imo.
Seems like the reasons why many of us watch a tough professional sport are being eroded to increase appeal to the masses.
Care is needed as if that doesn't bring in the masses, they could lose the fundamental support that has kept the game going for 150 years!

There's been diving as long as the games been going. How many half backs have taken high shots that haven't really hurt but stayed down as is they were shot. Or how many times a game do players over exaggerate contact at the PTB in order to win a penalty.

Four Super League players suspended

Gareth Hock of Widnes Vikings has been suspended for one match after being found guilty of using foul and abusive language to a match official in his club's Super League Round 6 fixture against Bradford Bulls on Friday March 8.

Hock was also fined £300 when he appeared before the RFL Disciplinary Committee this evening.

Hull FC forward Mark O'Meley was found not guilty of the Grade B offence of punching in the Round 6 fixture v Castleford Tigers on Friday March 8.

Earlier, O'Meley's team-mate Danny Tickle (one match, Grade and Castleford players Justin Carney (two matches, Grade C) and Weller Hauraki (one match, Grade were all suspended after submitting Early Guilty Pleas to punching offences in the same fixture.

Unless he was psychic, he couldn't have known Carney would get a 2 game ban in a post match interview!

Correct, assume he knew it was a two game ban straight away as Carney submitted an early guilty plea, so they would have known the ban before they did this.

I don't condone swearing at officials, but to make an informed opinion we'd really need to know exactly what Hock said.

Dennis Betts doesn't. His rant was hilarious. He insisted it's a disgrace and then said he doesn't know what Hock said!
