Just got to have a word about tonight's game in passing.... Sheffield have a bloke from Salford as they have an injury
and obviously have no other players at the club to come in . Aston admits he hates dual reg , and smirked in his interview
when he said no to dual reg but call it a loan and its all fine !!! Careful what you say or you may end up looking a tad
hypocritical ... It's all semantics if your still getting help , whatever you call it.

it was only a matter of time wasn't it . If hes so against DR why didn't he use one of his under 19's - or doesn't developing his own players matter any more ???? hypocritical idiot - practice what you preach Aston

Nowt wrong with taking a player on loan, its not DR whichever way you want to spin it. Same as if Barrow took a player on loan.
In a way a loan deal is better than DR as you get to have the player for a month.
The hypocritical ones are those that say they are developing young players, then want to sign Leuluai and Moore (not picking on Hunslet for any reason, just these are the best examples at the moment). Same with Owen at Cas/Keighley - he is a young player but has plenty of SL games under his belt so is not a DR player. An A team player yes.

Batley not clicked away yet and i have been to every game. Our defence is good at the moment and our backs have been excellent every game so i am hoping for a dogs win although we wont be clear until the last quarter. Town 16 Dogs 30

The last minute on recent form!

Heart says 22-18, head says with players missing 10-26. But now we have snow on the pitch it could be anybody's game.
The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

Tend to agree with you as Stack missing big blow, all new back pairings, Thacks blowing a gasket every match and uncertainty with our half back combinations, but.... as you say heavier pitch might just slow their "excellent" backs a tad.

I wonder how much difference the weather will make. Anyone know if the bulldogs are a heavy pack team or lightweight and quick side?
