A one game ban is hardly sending a message and stamping down on it. A 8 game ban is the norm in the community game.

If I was a ref I'd be tempted to talk to them how they may talk to me, I'd happily swear at players and spectators if they swore at me.

Ha ha that reminded me of the time I got sent off over 50 years ago. I was playing hooker (when hookers actually hooked the ball from the scrums) when the scrum collapsed. The ball was right beside me and the opposition that were still on their feet were kicking lumps out of me. I managed to push the ball out with my hands and the ref blew up and called me over. His first remark to me was "keep your bloody hands off the ball". I replied, "they were kicking ###### out of me". His reply, "Get off your not talking to me like that". Suspension followed - 1 match.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

I.m sure I never ever caused you any problems, Ernie was a different story, lol He actually played for the first team last week at 54, It was funny to hear Steve Presley shouting "Ernie, Ernie, Ernie put him down"

I don't remember any hassle off you it Ernie (are you sure he is only 54). Howard was the problem
