is there a reason these ten sides havent entered the competition? you would have thought all ncl clubs would play in the cup.

The realisation that there just are not enough saturdays to fit the games in! When all the postponements for summer activities are applied, along with the'free' weekends because of'odd' numbers of teams in divisions!

Bit Poor that so many have dropped out.Apprciate the backlog argument but unless these clubsmake a better effort to play in this then this is another comp that will fizzle out and die within a year.
Bit like the Yorkshire cup when conference teams dropped out back in the day.
you cant call yourself champions if only half of the teams are playing?

I guess the potential for teams like Coventry having to play mid-week games in Cumbria was enough to put them off!
Cup competitions are fine for teams in local leagues/competitions. However the possibility of a succesful cup run will result in having to play mid-week matches in a National competition, which make it a non-starter for amateur players

If the NCL management have any brains they will ensure that mid week games are a non starter for yhis competition unless they want to kill it stonr dead or totally de value the competition.
There are clubs whom are struggling to get a consistant team on the field on daturdays (due to other commitments) so to try to get ypur lads to travel to hull or cumbria mid week os a complete joke!
What if your players just cannot get the time off work lets just say for trip from wigan to Cumbria or hull?
This needs to be addressed now to save any potential embarrassment.
These games like all NCL games should be played on saturdays in my opinion.

As I understand it these matches are all scheduled to be played on saturdays ( with permission to alter by mutual consent ).
1st Round proper - 32 clubs- takes place on 11th May
2nd Round on 16th June
Quarters on 13th July , semis on 17th August.
Final at LSV ko 12 00 29th September.
That appears to be the plan. Hope all goes well.....

And for what it's worth the biggest single entry cup competition in the Amateur game..
And definitely not compulsory . The 48 entrants this time around all want to have a go on the basis ( quite rightly )that they all feel they have a good chance !!

OK before anyone questions my maths the entry is 40 not 48- but it's still the biggest and best......

Would the NCL consider allowing regional teams to enter? i'm certain that this is better administrated than the barla one currently and may allow for a good strong cup competition

Yes, you can. You are the best of those who entered.

Nice too see that common sense has been applied to the cup competition then.
Lets hope its a real cracker of a competition then it certainly has the potential to be so.

How can it be better administrated, cup draw, dates to be played, times to be played, referee appointed, winning teams into the next round, cup draw, dates to be played, times to be played, referee appointed, winning teams into the next round, cup draw, dates to be played, times to be played, referee appointed, winning teams into the next round, cup draw, dates to be played, times to be played, referee appointed, winning teams into the next round, cup draw, dates to be played, times to be played, referee appointed, winning teams into the next round, when you have two teams left you have a final on a prearranged date.Would the NCL consider allowing regional teams to enter? i'm certain that this is better administrated than the barla one currently and may allow for a good strong cup competition
Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.<div align='center'></div>
