Ok back to reality.
How can someone with such bigoted views get so far. Had he been white, lower middle class and Christian he would not have got anywhere near his position and no doubt would have got as far as being a Local Councillor somewhere before saying something bigoted which he would be forced to resign for and makes a few lines in the nation newspapers causing embarrassment to his party for a day or two but got no further.

How can someone with such bigoted views get so far. Had he been white, lower middle class and Christian he would not have got anywhere near his position and no doubt would have got as far as being a Local Councillor somewhere before saying something bigoted which he would be forced to resign for and makes a few lines in the nation newspapers causing embarrassment to his party for a day or two but got no further.
The labour party went out to recruit asian members, it wasn't particularly bothered what those members believed as long as they delivered seats in council wards and inner city parliamentary seats.
This is one of the results, an ex MP, a peer of the realm whose religious beliefs belong in the arabian peninsula 1500 years ago
