Wow .... That's what I call a kick n chase game .
Very very well drilled and coached indeed . Big lads , no errors , A1 kicking and smother .

Brett carter . Our silly errors again make things an uphill struggle , and our long kicking game is a massive contrast to theirs.

Poor choices and poor as usual in creativity. Add a poor ref giving us none of the 50/50 calls means it a BP at best. Batley far quicker with and without the ball. We are desperate for a good half back.

Managed to snatch nothing from the jaws of something in true town style. Halfbacks the problem? Just a guess......

Try Gore or Gilmore from Widnes if desperate at halfback.

Lots of effort lots of commitment but I'm afraid in this league it isn't enough . You must be able to do the basics in attack and defence , and if you can't defend your line , can't collect bombs , can't cut out silly errors and can't speed up your ball and take your chances your always gonna be rowing uphill and end up second best . They just did everything needed - go forward , no errors , long kicks and smother chase , defend your line and take your opportunities . We have a lot to learn , how many times are we gonna say we should have won ... Still naive and still lacking zip and penetration in the middle , and still an awfully slow passing game . It's a harsh lesson league isn't it ? On the plus side Walne and Acton outstanding , Lawton very good and only getting better , Elliot good return and Forber very bright and must start . Good effort but not enough at this standard unfortunately . That last try was a killer , definitely deserved a point , but not to be .

We tried Gore, no better than what we have really.
