The Broncos kept the Tigers scoreless in the second half rattling up 20 unanswered points to win 26-12. The victory lifted the London side to within two points of a play-off spot.
“I’d like to praise the team for a big team effort at Castleford Tigers on Sunday,” said Mackay who witnessed the win. “It was great to see Michael Robertson back from an ankle injury and getting a try on his return. He was enthusiastic throughout the game and was replaced by Luke Dorn in the second half who made his 150th appearance for the club. Liam Colbon showed great commitment and power to back up the forwards as we drove out of our half on a number of occasions. Tommy Lee also impressed as he played 80 minutes in the heavy conditions.
“I also want to thank the fans that travelled to Castleford to support the team; they stood in the pouring rain and cheered them to an important win. We have some key games coming up and we hope the fans can support the team at The Twickenham Stoop.”
Season ticket holders can bring a friend to one of the next two games at the Twickenham Stoop for half price by presenting voucher 1 from their season ticket booklets to the ticket office on the day of the match.
