Not to take the Bill Arthur thread off-topic, but inspired by his story and the return of Purtell to name just one, I'd like to continue the thread drift of having more, and importantly, regular rounds which raise awareness of particular issues.

Yes, yes, much like the NRL do.

Sounds good. Can we have special kits?

It's time to park the camels.

An awareness week for awareness weeks would be good.
Awareness rounds are a good idea.

Can we have an 'Awareness there's a game on' round for Huddersfield fans?
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:

Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.

It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.

Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

You meant to say, "Awareness of real rugby round for Stoopid League fans".
Cheer up, RL is actually rather good

When's the meeting to sort out the agenda for the meeting?

Seriously, I think RL could market itself extremely well if there was a coordinated effort each week to promote cancer awareness and other worthy activities. I don't believe these should be simply charity events but a variety of things that RL is involved in. They could be heritage weeks, an expansion showcase, promote community work, club lottery week, etc etc

Some clubs already do mini versions of this - eg Wigan's Joining Jack kit, and Wire's armed forces camouflage one.
A heritage round would be so simple to organise and would be a winner. Who wouldn't want to see their team revive some of the more imaginative 1980s kits for one game only?

The magic weekend would be ideal for a heritage round.
