The weather forecast doesn't look too good for Friday and Saturday for West Yorkshire! Do we think that the game will be on or not?

It will probably go ahead but I'm sure there will be a few pitch inspections to confirm it over the next few days.

There are 3 games scheduled on the pitch at Batley on Saturday so i am sure the snow plow will be on hand. Well i would hope so anyway

At lease take a snow shovel and a blanket.

Earlier this year I found this list of essential supplies to carry for winter driving on the Weather Channel - I still have no idea what I would use the "scissors and string" for if stuck in the snow.... any ideas?

Essential Supplies
Be prepared with a "survival kit" that should always remain in the car. Replenish after use. Essential supplies include:

• Working flashlight and extra batteries
• Reflective triangles and brightly-colored cloth
• Compass
• First aid kit
• Exterior windshield cleaner
• Ice scraper and snow brush
• Wooden stick matches in a waterproof container
• Scissors and string/cord
• Non-perishable, high-energy foods like unsalted canned nuts, dried fruits, and hard candy.

I'm sitting on a beach in Florida on holiday while enjoying two thoughts: It's cold and snowy where I live in Vermont, but that's as it should be. We live in ski country.
The second thought that's making me smile can be summed up by the words "summer rugby"!

The Christening will probably be off due to a frozen font.

The club site had it on yesterday. it was also posted on the Facebook site and Twitter. so thats 4 different ways you could have found the news out. I think both clubs should be congratulated for making the early call.
