Andy Bateman was an overwhelming choice for one of the props. The other birth goes to Gillepsie. The purists may argue that we have two number 10's but it's not so much an issue in today's game. (we can have big Lynsey on the bench as back up).
So 11 &12 are now up for grabs.
There are so many great names that have already been mentioned. The one I'm going for is Jimmy Crampton. His tackle count must have been phenomenal, and all round the ankles.

Tough call between Sonny Nickle, Michael Jackson and Alan Platt.
Think I will go for Platty for his tactical and goal kicking and Sonny for his explosiveness

Billy Bowden has to be 15. Danny Rowe favourite of mine as a kid at Batley. No James Lowes in this team

Carr played loose forward for us but Sheffield played him in the second row. Don't forget Terry Webb, Graham jennings and was it Theo Anast?Paul Carr was loose forward...

Nickle, Wilson and Platt seem to be leading the way at the moment. Can't believe there isn't more support for Crampton.
Has there ever been a better tackler at the club?
(Penola, we will be naming 4 subs)

Crampton was before my time but coyley has got to be up there on the tackling / workload basis, he was never gonna win many mom awards but he consistently got through some serious graft season after season after season!!!

Only know Crampton from when he came back at Elland Road. We need a kicker in this team don't we? And a good one. Alan Platt

Just a thought but would it be possible to have a ``best goal kicker`` alongside the best 17??!!
