Sensible decision given the conditions. I had to laugh at the Fetherstone spokesperson saying the pitch is playable but 6" of snow on it is unreasonable to move! So in other words the pitch isn't playable as it has 6" of snow on it. I wonder why it wasn't called off before now if they weren't gonna clear the snow off it??
At least we get good preparation for the Good Friday match now.
The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

Volunteers where ready and waiting with there snow shovels to remove the snow off the pitch, it's the pack ice on the car park and terracing etc what is dangerous from a H&S point of view.
Im Fev and im proud

Will this postponement count towards Thackray's two match ban?

Rugby League must be a great game to survive the fools at the RFL who run it.

No as your team hasn't played a game so to speak. But yeah I know where your coming from it should count as its not his fault the game as been cancelled. But no he will still have the match bans he occurred.

😄😄😄. Just wanted the game out of the way to be honest. With the NRC and CC coming up we didn't want a clogged fixture list. But hey that's how it goes maybe we will fit it in on the weekend of the CC final that would be perfect.Unless we make the final of course 😄😄😄.

All systems go on getting ready for Friday ... Get Stacky , Morris and Calders as fit as possible , get Olstrum fired up to put things right ,and get Matty ready to go hopefully , add those Widnes lads from today into the mix and go for it !!

apparently we are praying their game is on according to our very own haven4ever. Even the wreck should be fairly dry today so i fancy them for a tonking today. It will again dampen the enthusiasm after their massive win last week.

I fancy haven to pull off a shock today with the weather conditions. It's never easy playing in Cumbria especially on a sodden pitch. They gave us a good game for 50 mins and if they can make that an 80 mins display at home today I can see them nicking the win. You heard it here first 😄😄😄.

H4E posting about us? No I won't have it, surely you must be mistaken Town4me!! To be honest I don't think they will get tonked as Halifax weren't that impressive at ours. If Haven play well they will be back to being world beaters again so a bit of over confidence may not be such a bad thing for Good Friday.
Our lads would probably have liked to play today, but it gives the lads playing with niggles a week to get over them and ready for the Easter fixtures. Shame about Thacks missing out though .

no chance gaz. Fax are the best team I have seen at derwent park this season. They never stopped for the 80 Minutes. Haven struggled to beat poor barrow last week where a barrow fan said on here barrow were poor and them lot went much better. Comfortable win for fax by atleast 20 and u heard that here first

IMO Fax are the best team i have seen at DP and we got the BP as we played well that day. Can't see havens veteran pack coping with them over the 80 minutes
