Ganson.

One of my least favourite things about RL is how some fans at games clearly don't know / understand rules, and consequently abuse refs for making correct calls. Numerous examples this year already of people not keeping up to date with the free play / advantage, dead ball and 20m restart rules. Having tried refereeing I can vouch that its a tough job... however that doesn't stop me criticising their blunders ;-)

My issue is, I think the last thing Ganson needs is to read about how brilliant we all think he is. He might be the best referee to the majority, but he sure as heck thinks he is. Good, bad or indifferent, we notice him during a game.

one incident this season which would have been handled much much better by ganson than any other referee was the hock sending off, ganson has a great rapport with the players and i am sure he would have diffused the situation with his unique style.

last season was a great example of his style when he told morley and mcillorum to stop kissing each other and get on with the game when they were having a set too on the pitch.
"Why is Napoleon crying ?" said one sailor to the other, "poor ###### thinks he's being exiled to st helens" came the reply.

Thierry Alibert and Phil Bentham are the only ones who don't ref their games like they are frustrated players.
