Mr Leatherbarrow will be the best ref on that pitch that day. He will be fair and impartial, giving attacking advantage which makes for an exciting match of Rugby League. Applaude him when he takes to the field and congratulate him on the decisions he makes whether they are for York or against....

What ever you've been on I'll have some, can you name me any game that we've won excluding the away game at Dewsbury when we won with the last kick of the match by CT, Leatherbarrow was not able to do anything then.

Well...

Last season: "Laughton you p*llock" - "Laughton you prat" - "Open ya bl''dy eye man" etc etc
We get hammered by 14 men

This season: "Good to see you Ronnie" - "Good call that Ronnie mate, spot on" - "Don't worry about the flat passes Ronnie, let's just have a game mate"
Hardly knew he was there - great game of Rugby

Last season: "Hewer you prat" - "You don't know what you're doing Hewer"
And we get hammered by 13 1/2 men

This year: "Congratulations on your new baby Gareth" - "Well done mate, good call ref"
Hardly knew he was there, great game of Rugby.

Last season: "Leatherbarrow you p*llock" - "You're a disgrace" etc etc
And we get hammered by 14 men

So it should likely follow that: "Looking good Mr Leatherbarrow" - "Good call that ref"
You'll hardly know he's there, great game of Rugby.

And if you're still in any doubt as to the effects on the pitch of the supporters being kn@bs to referees...

This season: "Stokes you prat" - "You don't know what to do, do you Stokes?" - "You're bent Stokes" - "Your hair is a different colour to a vast percentage of the UK population's" - "I question your parentage and put it to you that you are too tall for the amount of weight you carry and your feet look abit long for them shorts"

42 v 4, a sin binning and multiple injuries despite being good enough to have a great game of Rugby.

If we can beat Barrow on Monday and Batley do us the favour of beating Dewsbury we can move up to 6th. We then play Dewsbury at home and if Monday goes to plan that'd be a great chance to open up a cheeky little gap in 6th.

It's time to park the camels.

And if we dont win we could be back near the bottom of the league, we have to start winning away from home.

Tbh I'm thinking more about attendances. A win at Barrow, a win at Blackbrook and maybe we'll cross the 1000 mark at home to Dewsbury.

Change a winning side though? Obviously Nicholson will need replacing but apart from him did we come through unscathed?

Good point, but I'm sure GT knows who's ready for a rest and who's ready to go. 2 Championship games in 4 days might be a bit much for the likes of young Jack Pickles and Tyler Craig in their 'rookie' season.

Its just nice to have options!

I think Tyler can man more than 10 minutes in 4 days though Gav. He'll have hardly broke a sweat.

Sam Scott will be out after doing his chocolate hip in again I imagine.

Must say, thought the atmosphere on Friday was rather good, can only imagine what it'll be like when we get 1000+ in. On the subject of atmosphere, what happened to those women (sorry don't know names) who used to hand out them confetti things at the start of matches? Always thought that was a nice touch, could do with getting a couple of things like that going to create the atmosphere again, confetti, balloons, flags etc..

Hope you dont mean party poppers, we were told at the Millenium weekend in Edinburgh to stop using them because of health and safety, the chief steward said they could land on someones head and hurt them, crazy.

Think they were more sophisticated than party poppers. They looked like big pritt sticks and you twisted the end and BOOM confetti :D
