Let's hope Salford can build on this result.

Great result for Salford, hope this gives them some momentum to build upon for the rest of the season.

Pleased for Salford and the Dr does anyone know if Noble was in charge today or was Hunte and Longy still in charge. These shock results aren't doing me any favours in the tipping comp I'm in. I'm lucky if I can pick three winners each round.

Many posters have been wanting competitive games in Superleague and it now appears that no game in the competition can be regarded as a foregone conclusion. In how many other seasons going into a round has the team that is bottom beaten the league leaders?

Great game, Salford looked much more balanced, Gaskell scored in the opening minutes for a great debut try. Sneyd was playing well.

Alan Hunte and Sean Long remain in charge, and according to the programme will do so all over Easter. There is a togetherness that was missing early on. I don't know if the sacking of Veivers has influenced this.

Gibson went off injured so to hang on for the win was outstanding.

On a side issue, a couple of Huddersfield fans refused to move for the reserved seating, and eventually were thrown/left the game.so for other visiting fans the middle block of the East Stand is reserved for home fans regardless of whether anyone is sitting there. Tickets will be checked.

Is the east stand usually populated by away fans?.....if so, seems daft to reserve home seats there??

The East stand is mixed, for some games the North stand which the away end has been closed. This has led to the end 2 blocks of the East Stand being allocated to away fans. The middle block is season tickets and the end 2 near the south stand is unreserved home fans.

This new strict policy is a result of the Hull KR fans taking up seats allocated to Season ticket holders. Not their fault but the stewards failed to direct them to other seats.

The 2 guys were just idiots, the female steward tried to reason with them for a god 5 mins asking them to return to the other block but they refused, more stewards arrived and the guys were escorted away from the pitch area.

All about money, not a big crowd expected today, will be open for teams such as Leeds and Warrington

Nothing daft about it really. It makes economic sense. Why staff a bar that is hardly going to be used? Saints close their away end for certain matches too and use the seated blocks nearest the away end for any travelling fans who do turn up.

Great win for Salford by the way. I'm glad that Sneyd had the ability to kick a drop goal. Always a handy skill to have! (PS: Gaskell can drop goals too, should the need arise)

Just got home. Buzzing after that. Not a brilliant game, but tons of commitment from Salford which has been lacking. As RW says, we're beginning to look organised and our defence is unrecognisable form the early games.

In all honesty, I have to say that Huddersfield looked out of sorts today. Their pack failed to steamroller ours and I don't think Danny Brough has ever looked as anonymous. Even the outside backs (Cudjoe, McGilvary) looked a bit flat.

Still, every win is a good 'un. Let's hope we get several more. (For the Aussie watchers, Foran still looks a bit overweight and unfit. Gaskell looked good and the whole team look more together than I've seen for ages)

edited to remove reference to Mauro. Too many bearded forwards who look the same.
