In today's Guardian (paragraph 2) Hull FC's Lee Radford tells that if Jamie Shaul hadn't received his senior call up this weekend because of injuries then he would have had no were to play because Championship clubs are reluctant to take on SL juniors for one off games.

I totally agree with the Championship clubs stance and it shows that the RFL must have a re-think on junior players development ,

The SL clubs are the ones who got it wrong

They went against RFL advice to try & save a few quid

Just one example of where it all falls apart. One club wants one thing and they assume the other club wants it too.

It won't last long in this form.

"We'll sell you a seat .... but you'll only need the edge of it!"

If it wasn't an RFL decision then I apologize, but it still a decision that must be reversed.

No, the RFL didn't want it.

The RFL have no power to decide anything beyond what's delegated to them by the clubs.

No apology required

Just typical SL clubs not seeing bigger picture

Whatever they save by not running a team they will have lost by losing players who may have made it this season or next etc

A Warrington player broke his leg playing for Swinton this week. I'm sure this was not a welcome outcome from the dual registration system.

Oh come on, that has absolutely nothing top do with dual reg. What a ridiculous thing to say.

I'm very dubious about dual reg, what's wrong with the loan system? Not sure what is being gained.

Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

You can just lend/borrow players for a shorter time basically. They turn up half an hour before the game and get introduced to their team mates.

He's a player with a lot of potential, but Gary Thornton has already brought in a very good full back in Tom Carr, so York didn't need him.
