Confirmed in the Star that Matty figures tomorrow . Brilliant news , brilliant player . Welcome back !
And Connor to play in the halves .Gonna be an interesting watch tomorrow any way , but seeing a new starting stand off and the impact Matty has makes it even more interesting . Great boost ahead of the next phase of the season . Add Callum , Carter , Olstrum and Lupton to these two and we have some very good players in the key positions down the spine , feeding off our renowned power.

Great news, but I bet there will be a few with hearts in mouths when he makes his first contact. The loss of Adam Walne was a massive blow and leaves us with a very thin squad, if we keep everyone fit I'm very confident of getting out of this Chamionship relegation dogfight. Let's all keep our fingers crossed shall we, if we pick up the injuries that we had at the end of last season, we could be in trouble.

It would be good to see some positional changes tomorrow, and maybe a couple rested, It's important we beat Carcassone, but survival in this division is a must.

Best of luck Matty......UP THE TOWN

Well Thacks was a suspension and you'd think would be chomping at the bit to get in soon and right some wrongs . I'm expecting a big next phase of the season from Thacks after a slightly stuttering time . I feel we're gonna see a really motivated Thacks and back to his best . With Walne out he needs to lead our go forward, and a rampaging Thacks is as good as any prop in this league . Vital to us in our fight , we need him to channel his energies in the right direction and not let things he can't control on the pitch affect him .Calderwood , Rooney ?? You'd hope both would be figuring soon to add some much needed edge.
Then there's no excuses with everyone back . After that its performing and keeping everyone fit - big if but vitally important for us .

Welcome back Matty hope you have a good 'un.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.
