Millward gone from Cas.

Are you worried?

Hopefully JK is enjoying his part time coaching job together with the media work he does and doesn't fancy the day to day problems of turning Cas around. Let's hope so.

Not sure Cas would want him. Justin Morgan's name has been bandied about.

Seriously, Cas are well and truely in the ######, A crumbling stadium and no fancy CAD designs anymore that they can bullpoo their way through another licence, No money, No coach. No hope.

They are either coming down to the championship or will disappear after a few years of a attempted merger.

No one in their right mind would leave a decent club for this one.

I would be disappointed if John Kear left at this stage in the season. He's starting to build a strong team and for him to walk away now would be hard on the players and fans who have worked hard for him and trusted in him.

IMO Kear will stay at Batley.

Darryl Powell is strongly fancied I hear, but only if the pitch is big enough!

I wonder if Millward has scared them away from dipping into the Championship for a while.  Mind you, out of all the decent coaches in the Championship, I suspect Kear would be the most likely.  I suspect however that they may look elsewhere.

I'll put my neck on the line - JK will NOT be the new coach at Castleford.

His current situation suits him too well.

He's always said to me he's happy where he is and it'd take a Leeds or Wigan to make him think twice. I don't think a delapidated bottom of the league club fits the bill for his reputation, even if it is his home town. We'll see I guess.

He bumped along the bottom with wakey so he knows what it is like. I too think he will stay with the dogs. I have my fingers crossed that Aston will get it as i am fed up of loosing to sheffield ;)

Justin Morgan is settled into his new role as a video ref in the NRL, doubt he'd want to come back

I'll resist the urge to comment on PM's stupid smart phone and ask what job John Kear currently does away from his coaching of Batley that might offer sufficient reward to warrant him not applying for the Cas position?

Does media work - for Sky (BBC?), and others I believe.

The Cas job is a real hot seat at present and I don't reckon they'll fill it easily. The politics flying around the club would frighten off most sensible coaches, added to which they have a very poor, badly motivated side that any coach would struggle to improve. The ground development is dead in the water, Wheldon Rd is a mess with no real prospects of significant improvement, and unless someone else winks up first they are destined to lose their SL licence.

JK may fancy Cas sometime but I reckon he's wise enough to stay away until things calm down.
