ENGLAND CHIEF BACKS BARLA XAMAX NATIONAL YOUTH & JUNIOR CUPS

The semi finals draw for the BARLA Xamax National Youth and Junior Cups was made at Eastlands, Skirlaugh and BARLA were honoured have England RL supremo Steve McNamara on had to make the draw.

 

Commenting on the BARLA competitions Steve McNamara said, “I feel really privileged to be asked down to my amateur club Skirlaugh to make the draw for the semi finals of the BARLA Xamax youth and junior cups. It’s a tremendous competition which makes exciting times for the amateur clubs.  The competition has seen hundreds if not thousands of today’s professionals play over the years and hopefully we will see many of the game’s future stars in the competition in years to come.”

A couple of ties are yet to be decided with the under 18’s game Orrell St James v Wigan St Judes being called to a halt after a serious injury. This game is set to be replayed on Wednesday 10th April.
