What channel was the Saturday match on (Cas vs Hudds)? I take it they won't be putting more 3pm-ish kick offs on Sky if they haven't appeared in any of the top 10s

Just to be clear, Cas vs Huddersfield rated 104,000 (10th) on SS2

That evening on Sky Sports:

SS1 had live Heineken Cup matches all afternoon until 9pm
SS2 had live Championship football from 5pm followed by Football First
SS3 had live PGA golf from 6pm
SS4 had a live Spanish football doubleheader from 5:15pm

Given the choice of a low rating on a Saturday afternoon or an even lower rating in the evening by being only available via the red button, the afternoon will always win.

The Friday night, incidentally, was:

SS1 had live SPL football from 7:30pm
SS2 had a live Amlin Cup match from 7:30pm
SS3 had live PGA golf from 8pm
SS4 had wrestling

So it could have been shown on Friday on SS4 but after Cas, or at least Ian Millward, rightly complained about Sky making them play the Sunday before the Easter weekend and the Friday after it, moving the match was the fair thing to do and it would probably have rated no better in its original slot.

When Sky play the weird early Saturday matched, or move Friday ones to Sunday, it is almost always because they have live content on their other channels, and normally events where they have no control over the schedule.

Once again good figures for a Union game when shown just before a league game.

I wonder if they were exactly the same 228,000 people who watched our two games.

I know they always move it for a reason, although I'm surprised they didn't move Spanish football to the red button as they seem to like to do for time to time. Perhaps they didn't want Super League on Sky Sports 4, it rarely seems to be. As a one off that's better ratings than I thought (especially against the Grand National).

Cheers for the info.
