Premier Sports TV will be showing both games this weekend while the NRL takes a break and hopes it's rep players come through the matches unscathed.

Hmm ? Trawled around online but couldn't find any TV or radio coverage for the U20's State of Origin.

Or the Tonga v Samoa test that follows it .

Yes, I'd spotted the Tonga v Samoa game- I was updating my post when you beat me to it!

Surely somebody will be televising it for Tonga and Samoa at least?

Fox Sports are showing it in Oz, and the U20's Origin game. Premier were supposed to be showing it here on replay, but for some reason don't seem to be bothering now - presumably a rights issue. According to the Tongan RL Facebook site, Sky NZ are still negotiating to screen it, but Tongan TV are showing it.

Did  NZ get the NRL deal sorted out in time for the 2013 season start?

Last I heard, a few days before Round 1 the deal to screen NRL in NZ was still to be announced.

They did, with about one day to go before the season started!!! And of course they now have Andrew Voss commentating on all the Warriors games for them following his departure from Channel 9.

Are there no NRL games this week then just the rep games?

That's right. The draw for the season took note of past grumbles and gave the rep games a clear weekend to play in.
