Was that Eaton with the yellow shirt on who was never off the field?    He was even giving the ref a bit of stick at one point just after Town had scored under the sticks.    He was running about behind the Hawks line coaching them.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

I had eyes on Eaton in the main stand . As the second half progressed he got more and more agitated , and was out of his seat and standing right at the front of the grandstand shouting into his walkie talkie and doing a lot of arm waving and finger pointing . Not a happy chappy as the game developed !

if you seen when town kicked through, a hunslet player played at the ball and the ref following the same rules thats been in place for a number of years wiped the tackle count clear. then we walked through you defence as if it wasnt there. it wasnt the linesman who left gaping holes in defence or played on the wing and couldnt catch a high bomb.

Can't win a game conceding so many penalties amount of defending we did took its toll second half always going to be hard to get a win in Cumbria criminal not to get a bonus point basic error cost us again just typical of us number 16 for Workington was outstanding best player on pitch

Tackle count was restarted, just wasn't signalled,

"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."

"Imagination is more important than knowledge."

"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."

"Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence."
