I am also looking for help to complete my records for the West Yorkshire league. This league appears to have become the Yorkshire Sunday League in 1994-95 before going defunct after 1995-96. I am missing the following champions and runners up - 1975-76 Divsions 1, 2 and 3. 1986-87 Premier, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Finally 1991-92 Premier, 1 and 2. Hope somebody out there has this info for me. Thank You in advance.

Thanks Marauder but I have got 1985-86, its 1986-87 I am looking for. I have got all the BARLA handbooks but some seasons they don't include all the league tables. Thanks for 1991-92 Premier division, It was Moorends and Goldthorpe in 1993-94 as well.  What about divisions 1 and 2?, and can anybody help with 1986-87 please?

I have the year wrong on the Moorends champs Goldthorpe runners up the year your looking for was Moorends champs and Walnut Warriors RU, In a five year period we won it 4 times and where runners up behind Fryston Crown once, (Fryston where actually kicked out of the league but where still awarded the title)

Thanks for clarifying that. Yes, I have seen that those were good years for Moorends. I also remember them knocking Thatto Heath out of one of the cup competitions around that time. I have never been to Moorends but almost went to that game. I didn't because the weather so bad I wasn't sure it would get played.

Yes we just nicked it from them in the league a couple of times but never beat them in the top 4's.

We beat Thatto in the challenge cup.

I can guarantee you a warm welcome and a good craic after the match even if, like me, you were a ref & they had lost
