Sonny Bill Williams has overcome a knee injury to be named in the starting side for Sydney's Anzac Day blockbuster

Hmm ?

I wonder how many other NRL players who claimed injury as a reason not to be in last weekends rep games are in their club lineups for Round 7 ?

The cynic in me starts to see the resemblance to EPL & ESL club over country developing

Are these claimants examined by anyone other than the club's own doctor (if even that)?

Maybe if the are claiming injury they should be examined by an independent doctor or specialist and not allowed to play again unless they have been re-examined with a minimum lay-off period of  say 10 days.

I guess that doesn't sound feasible and we assume that this current way will continue assuming those involved will act with integrity!

There was some rumbling over players that got 'pulled' after being cleared to play by the medicos for the rep teams.

Their 'CLUB' medicos then over ruled that decision ?

SBW probably just needed more time to decide which country to play for :D
