Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Brian McDermott says his side will face one of the toughest hurdles possble after being drawn away to face Huddersfield Giants in the Fifth Round of the Tetley's Challenge Cup.

Leeds will face Super League opposition again in the Cup after defeating Castleford at Headingley Carnegie last Friday. Commenting on the draw, McDermott said, "We are very consistent with our opponents in the Cup! In my time here, we have only ever drawn one non-Super League team and that was a tough Leigh side at their place last year in the Quarter Final. If we are going to get back to Wembley it is going to be the tough route again and I don't think this draw could have been any tougher. Huddersfield will be clear favourites, they are second in the table with only leaders Wigan having scored more points than them this season, they defeated us earlier in the season and will be on their own patch so we know it will take a special performance from us to beat them."

Huddersfield defeated the Rhinos 32-8 at Headingley Carnegie back in March in a match played in extremely wet conditions. McDermott added, "The landscape has changed a bit since our last game and the weather had a big part to play in that game, Huddersfield came up with a formula that really punished us and I fully expect them to revert to that formula when we play them in the Cup.

"They have been challenging at the top of Super League for a number of seasons now and have been to Cup Finals and I have read comments from Paul Anderson and Ken Davy about how they want to take the next step and win silverware this season so that shows the ambition they have. I would have thought not only getting through to the Quarter Final but knocking Leeds out would be a huge scalp for them and take them a big step closer to that ambition. We are under no illusion about the size of the task in front of us," added McDermott.
