I agree its a great potential market for Wigan. If/when a new SL side rises in Wales there will be more professional players of  a good standard to help. Not to mention hopefully Harris has learned a bit more about coaching from Wane. Allegedly the Hock/Mossop sale brought in £250,000 (according to back chat) so thats a healthy sale for us.

Now this lad would have been a great signing.

definitely... sadly though he'd be mad to switch now :(

Also wouldn't work as a talisman (so to speak)... but I think he would have made a good RL player

Although it's regarding Union, will the soccer have a bearing on RL?

Don't think so.

Club rugby in Wales, across the levels, is in a right mess and it doesn't look like being straightened out any time soon. If the Welsh regional sides had any sense, they would follow the example of Swansea and Cardiff football clubs and join up with the English RU Premiership.

What bearing could it possibly have on RL ? I doubt it will have any real direct noticeable impact.

A friend of mine who watches Sale claims he's one of the fittest at the club.

My work colleague who supports them says the same......apparently he's a work horse, leads from the front and has really trimmed down and got leaner over the last few months.

Andy Powell's main problem won't be fitness oradjusting to the new rules and demands. It will be his temperament; he seems to have fallen foul of employers on a regular basis.
