There are a lot of golf clubs in this country.

A holocaust denier and former member of the BNP ...  today is a very good day for Ukip to announce that they haven't had chance to check all of their candidates in this election.

NB1: Presumably the Lib Dems checked you out thoroughly before you stood. Perhaps if you'd been a former member of the BNP you might have got enough public votes to get elected.

;) ;) B)

NB2: Denis Healey was a former member of the Communist Party

NB3: Oswald Mosley was a former  Labour MP and Cabinet Minister

Ukip's own statutes prohibit former members of the BNP from standing for them.

Hardly comparable to the BNP.

How would you check?

Have ever been a member of the BNP? No

Great - that's good enough for us!

Strictly speaking she's not a holocaust denier. She thinks the Zionists caused the holocaust. Reading some of her tweets, she seems to believe in absolutely any conspiracy from Zionists to Adam Weishaupt.

Do you have any evidence for this assertion?

It's potentially libellous if not true.

That's a fair point in that I don't know how you would check but then I'm not a political party putting up 1,700 candidates having asked each of them to assure me they weren't former members of the BNP.

Interesting that the Ukip policy, such as it is, is yet again a vote *against* things rather than anything positive as alternative.

It should be worrying for UKIP supporters that the people chosen to run for council don't have a basic grasp of the tax system we have in this country seeing as its one if their main issues.

He may be an idiot but his argument here is sound. Whether the funds are ring-fenced or not, car users have to pay to access the roads and cyclists don't.

You can get cars with £0 VED.

Presumably they should be treated the same as bikes?
