Interesting proposal/idea in the Aussie press:

No idea if they mean Great Britain or England because they seem to struggle to differentiate between the two!

Why not Europe?

Australia including the best Kiwis would make the ANZAC squad stronger.

England including any other Europeans would weaken the northern hemisphere squad.

I dunno. There's a couple of French forwards that would make a good edition!

There's more Frenchies if have over Celts anyways, so Europe would make more sense than GB.

Apart from a couple of forwards I wouldn't put any Kiwis in the Aus team.

The point of this wouldn't really be to make the strongest possible teams, it's really just an exhibition match for a specfic occassion. So I'd go with Europe v Australasia (and it does bring in all the Great War allies who could feasibly take part in an RL match).

No, unless some catastrophic geological event occurs we'll still be a part of Europe.

We have a sport that struggles for international credibility so what do we do, combine the few competitive sides we have to further restrict the chances of other nations getting the opportunity of attractive test matches. Play internationals between countries and keep doing it, it is not rocket science. Persevere doing the right thing.
Rugby League is a sport that desperately needs to expand its geographical supporter base and its player base. This imperative means that all other requirements are secondary until this is done.

All power in the game should be with governing bodies, especially international governing bodies.

Without these actions we will remain a minor sport internationally and nationally.

If we actually had an international board, this may actually happen!
