Rovers Official Website states Sun. 19th May at 3.0pm.

Sounds like our Twitter jumped the gun (not for the first time!) as I believe the match officials have been informed that the Dewsbury game is the TV game and the Fev-Leigh game will be the 19th.

As I've suggested on another topic, wouldn't it be a good idea for Fev and Leigh season ticket holders to be allowed in half-price or less, then the Fax and Rams fans get the same deal for the game at Fev? WE could also do the same for season ticket holders of any other clubs not playing that day!

it was said at last nights forum that we were selected for the tv game, but mr poskitt argued about our loss of income the last time we were on tv. he said Leigh would actually lose money if this game was televised and that is the last thing we wanted. thankfully they listened to him, so lets hope for a good crowd and a cracking game. rovers fans, lets get there and support ryan sherridans rovers.

Well done MR Poskitt 0n making a stance on this, he was right we [Leigh] do need the cash and as we all know the Thursday games effect the attendance with the motorway being so busy at that time of day.

And we thought the RFL didn't know what they were doing when they picked the venue for the final

Everybody talks about how much cash will be lost, but much more important is how many Leigh fans wouldn't be able to get to a mid-week fixture. The game may be propped up by money men, but for who's benefit? The priority of the game should be to get as many fans to as many games as possible!

Then more bums on seats will bring in more sponsorship.

Thanks for that Ian, when northern folk talk about expansion, either they seem to forget, or don't seem to care that for every club we lose out of their team's league, it means one less away match that the majority of fans can easily travel to. Mid-week and Friday night games should be for local derbies, or at least between clubs where the away fans can get to without taking a shift off work. Barring serious accidents, the motorways are a relative dream on Sunday afternoons, and trans-pennine matches be staged then. Rugby League is a sport where a higher proportion of fans travel to away games, and long may it continue!
